Same here. The crazy part is none of the stay was in 2023.
It must be frustrating that even your concierge can't help you. As a human, they should be capable of understanding and relenting from official policy in this case.
Okay, so here goes. I was globalist for the past couple of years (qualifying with 60 nights even with the COVID reduced night requirement). I've been a Hyatt CC holder for a number of years and do almost all my primary spend on the card to earn points and nights, since I primarily stay with Hyatt and like to maintain globalist.Anyhow, in 2022 I had a total of 56 nights between card nights and actual nights stayed. I booked a reservation for 6 nights that was checking out on January 1. I looked online and everyone seemed to say that stays checked out on Jan 1 will be credited to 2022, and even if not, they should always be able to split the reservation. Stupid me should have confirmed this with Hyatt before hand but I thought it would make no sense to do it any other way so I never bothered to reach out. Well anyway, I had a six night stay booked which means that even if the last night counted toward 2023, I would still qualify for globalist with 61 nights in 2022 if the 2022 nights count toward 2022. However, hyatt credited all the nights to 2023 which means i missed globalist by 4 nights even though I stayed five nights. I reached out to hyatt and they put in a complaint. I contacted my concierge as well. All to no avail - they won't split the nights up and they wont credit any of them to 2022. I brought up how it really incentivized me to stay at a non hyatt property for my last night of the stay and how ironically that would have helped me qualify for globalist.Anyone ever have this before? is there anyone I can contactt? it seems really odd that this would be the case. If it is the final resolution, I would be very frustrated. I've earned who knows how many hyatt points over the years, and have hundreds of thousands sitting in my account. I literally just want to take my business elsewhere since this makes no sense.
I don't know where you got that info it's well known hyatt goes by checkout date, I would try to write to the ceo something regular channels won't do much, on a side note you can leave for marriott etc however in the us no one comes close to hyatt in elite recognition
It's fine if rules are rules, but he should be able to ask for them to credit 4 nights in consideration of his loyalty to them. As always, being nice and humble gets you further than arguing and being upset.
AFAIK it is a system issue they can't override. Maybe if they can go back and split the reservation up.
They can't issue night credits the same way they issue points for compensation?
Has anyone had experience getting globalist perks as a additional guest at Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen? i.e. kosher breakfast
Has anyone gotten kosher breakfast as a primary globalist in that hotel?
They will have full kosher breakfast starting next week for 2 weeks.
What does that have to do with anything?
What he is asking is irrelevant to kosher or not kosher. he is asking if anyone has expierence getting globalist perks as an additional guest at this hotel?
yes, I'm asking if, as an additional guest, does hotel honor the free breakfast perk?
Thoughts on this: I have a trip booked. I was only able to get nights 1,2 and 4 on points. I’m about to book night 3 with cash, do you think they would combine my reservations or will they make me switch rooms twice? Tia
I have had separate reservations a couple of times. I emailed the hotel ahead of time and it was never an issue.
What value do you put on being a globalist? 500, 1k, 1.5k or more?
