Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

I don't understand why people are using Target to liquidate GC's, why not use it for regular CC swipes and the GC leave up for WM with BB or similar methods?
I think this is called "abuse" (in our language) and it will cause this should end quicker, usually the cashier will think you make a big purchase when you pay with a regular CC, but when you come with a stash of 10 (or more) GC's it will for sure raise their eye brows and will ask for a supervisor which will allow the first 10 "Yiden" to do it,  then will start sending to CS and from there the way is short, just my 2 cents

You can get 5X points for GC using Ink at Staples, so it's worthwhile

Some people get 5X back at Target.

And you can liquidate these in WM the easy way, also if you think about the long run, it's a bu=ig waist as the regular CC purchases can last years, versus GC liquidation which will last days maximum weeks

I think there are 2 schools of thoughts here...

1) All good things eventually come to an end.  That being said, people will continue to milk RC for as long as they can using GCs aquired from Staples and eventually TGT will catch on and likely end the game altogether.  Let's max it out while we can and take full advantage knowing it will come to a stop at some point.

2) Prudent, below the radar use of CCs and occasional GCs in a responsible way.  The hope being that RC will continue to be a MS platform l'olaam va'ed...

Thoughts?

TOTALLY WRONG, corporate can still allow everything but the individual store won't, if the store see's you are doing a lot of GC they will change their polocy, the other side if you do it in a normal way that doesn't wake any attention the store won't mind until, corporate will stop it, which means lot's of months of fun, bottom line loading $5000 in 10 loads will kill what 2 of $2500 won't

As per up thread, on FM and other blogs, people are already reporting individual stores disallowing gc without names, like bb. Also, some places claim the daily limit is less than 2,500.
(What do expect, when you go into Target and load more money than the cashiers paycheck??)

this is game theory 101... if everyone knew that everyone else would place it safe that would be the best strategy for eveyone to use.  however, because we know (or assume) that some people will try to go to the max we dont want to be the only people taking it slow so we go to the max as well. thereby ensuring that everyone goes to the max...

Every smart individual should take it slow it will help keeping it alive longer, interesting that in Brooklyn where there is lot's of DDFers and no Walmart you have more issues than Lakewood with much more DDFers but there are 2 Walmarts...
Just saying

Maybe you should post in the Lakewood Master Thread.
They can always use some positive feedback.

you are 100% right.... IF i knew that everyone is as smart as me. It would be very not smart to be the only guy in Bk not taking advantage of this to the fullest and it being shut down anyway on account of everyone's foolishness. do you disagree?
