I have an Aeroplan ticket for Passenger X who can no longer fly, but turns out that passenger Y (account holder) needs to fly the same route same time.
Both have the same last name.
I can't just cancel ticket and reissue, as it is within 21 days.
I called Aeroplan and said that the wrong first name was used, but they won't change it because the dates of births are completely different.
[They have Passenger X's DOB from time of booking and Passenger Y's DOB on the account, as he is account holder.]
I assume there is no point with HUCA here.
Questions:
1. Is it possible to reschedule departure date for more than 21 days and then cancel (with double $90 penalty)?
2. Any other ideas?
