The ad was funny, get over it, what does that have to do with haskamas?
And how is this any different than children getting used to an eruv?

I'm not saying I'm for this product, luckily that's not my decision and I've posed the question to my own rov. But some of the attacks are just silly.
An Eruv was something introduced by Chazal, totally different than this.
Are we starting again from the beginning?
If you don't care why would you comment?

If this is legit, they're both legal loopholes. How is it different?

And neither is a (theoretical) electrical switch that has no Grama.

If it's a loophole, it wasn't created by chazal. It was inherently part of the halacha as given by Hashem. Chazal just set up a practical application. So again, why is this different?

Nice article and I could even understand it. Have no idea in the info is correct.

What I do know is if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck. This is nothing but a trick to get around certain rules.

Maybe I should get in contact with these guys to see if they can make me a DeathSwitch? Anyone what to guess where I am going with this one?  :P

Exactly, which is why all the talk about "spirit of Shabbos" and "what will the kids think" and "my grandmother didn't use this" is just a distraction from the real issue here, is it Halachically allowed or not...

That will be the great thing about the DeathSwitch. I will not be responsible for the final action, correct?

Judaism has a long rich history of Loopholes.
It is not only Judaism. I seen this movie before.

Here is what qualifies as a fast on one of the Holiest days of the year.
Four egg omelet at breakfast with no meat.
Two tuna fish sandwiches for lunch. Each about an inch thick. Throw in either apple/cherry pie with ice cream on top.
Pound of shrimp for dinner. Sides of mac/cheese and butter noodles.

After that fast I can't eat for a few days.

1. According to your logic he shouldn't have said it without a bracha either.
2. I'm pretty sure he didn't.
I'm not sure whether or not he said it, but there is a considerable community that says it without bracha in the belief that it was a big yeshua to am yisroel yet we are unable to be metaken it to the point where there would be a bracha.

meaning we can't add a yom tov to say hallel with a bracha on. Doesn't change the fact that if we had the power to do that then a brocha would be said

Does the fact that if chazal were around nowadays they would've decreed electricity Assur mean we have to pretend they decreed it?

Why?

Death Wish but I don't remember a rabbi. As far as the switch would I be held responsible for flipping it?

T'was a joke, Chaim.

Anyway, regarding your question about murder. The answer is that with gerama, the murderer is chayav bidei shamayim and patur bidei adam. In other words, it's murder the court just can't mete out punishment.

I will look for the source and post later, b"n.
