Even if this is exactly what the judge said he needs to see the unreacted letter/memo to see if they are telling the truth.

I am not sure where you see that. IIRC he said he needs to see the unredacted Aug 2017 letter since they were untruthful about the May letter.

You mean when they wrote "we were lying" instead of "we were not being truthful"? I believe it could have been an honest mistake.
