Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

is the basic opinion that the 5/24 rule will be applying here?
What do opinions matter ?

Opinions are like a..holes.
Everyone's got one and they all stink.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Some stink less than others.

Why don't everyone just go to OM/OD and rack up some points and cash instead of being on death watch. 50k UR today and 50k tomorrow.  ;)
"LESS IS MORE" It is the cumulative effect that kills deals!!! How many times do I have to say this?  >:(

The people most excited by this card are the ones who don't know how to use miles.
Why are you saying this?

I haven't done in in-depth analysis, but if my main usage for miles/travel is NYC-TLV route, being able to use UR at a value of 1.5 cents per UR is quite attractive.

If a revenue J NYC-TLV can be bought for around $3,000 (and if willing to take a stop, can be as low as $2,000), why is this not attractive rather than trying to find saver availability and worrying about YQ, expedite fees, etc. etc. (yes, there are some workarounds, but that's more time invested, HUCA etc. etc.)?

And if looking for an economy fare it seems just as attractive, if not more.

Couple that with abundant easy opportunities to earn 1.5x and 5x UR points, this starts looking attractive, paired with some Ink and Freedom (and don't have to hassle with transfers to others etc. even when they are family members).

To me it looks like Citi and Chase are at war over Visa accounts (and we should all benefit from it). I started to move a lot of my spending to Citi, but with this it might come back to Chase.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Anyone know how soon you can be pre-qualified for a Chase card? There are some DPs on reddit of folks over 5/24 being approved in branch. Perhaps they're pre-qualified. Hoping I / we are as well!

I went in-branch today and the banker said was I was pre-qualified. (I am under 5/24)

MY wife has Chase IP 60k offer via mail for long time, they keep sending new one every month. Can she apply for that pre qualified IP and the new SP reserve when it releases at same or 2bm? The only inquiry in last  24 month is her recent mortgage inquiry and one citi card 20 months ago.

Feel free to go for it, but it's not a 2bm.

The IP 60K for $5k spend offer she keeps getting in mail  strangely doesn't mention" you are pre approved or pre qualified" so I know business card these days  is tough with chase. But the 60k points for $5k is public  right?

I guess chase just wants her to apply for the public offer via mail I guess. Doesn't mention preapproved or pre qualified so no guarantee of approval

From Reddit; 100,000 point bonus good through September.
(I'm assuming he means the end of September?)

This is just one person and perhaps DROPR.
