Yeah I want to extend my pass from 2015 to 2017. I guess can do 50k premier and 50k premier business but I would rather keep it to 1 pull.

looking for some advice - i usually do 2BM or 3BM with different banks (chase, discover, amex, citi) to prevent that awkward conversation if you are not approved and have to explain why you have a need for 2 southwest cards.

does anyone have any experience with this? I could explain one if for business and one is for personal but just seems a little fishy. 3 years ago i spread them out by 6 months but im trying to get companion pass from jan/feb 2016 for 2 years.

any help most appreciated...

There's nothing wrong with keeping business & personal spend separate. Keep in mind its 2 pulls

Depends how important those three months are.  Personally, if I had even one trip planned I would eat the 2 pulls and do both now.

I just did a phone app for the PLUS card (50k referral)  and an online app for the premier, prior to applying i made a new RR account which didn't sync with the old. I have had the premier in the last year but not the plus.
I was instantly approved for the plus but got pending on the premier. I just received a denial in the mail that said i was denied because i had the premier within the last 24 months. This is new to me, until now i think you could get the card as many times as you like, it was just the points that was iffy, and as long as it wasn't flagged as duplicate you would get the points anyways...

a couple of questions:
1)Anyone else have this?
2) is it worth trying to fight, will calling recon help?
3)Also if i had the business premier within the last 24 months is it a waste of a pull to apply for that to get my CP for 16-17 or is this whole thing YMMV and it may work out?

Thanks!

Side question: Why would you want the premier as well, especially if your not getting the points with it?

I am assuming that if i could get the card i would get the points as has been the case for the last 5-6 times iv'e done this cycle (me and my wife)
I got denied for the consumer premier, i last got a bonus for the business premier roughly 21 months ago

Also does anyone when the 24month clock is set to? the time your bonus posted? when you closed the card you got the bonus? when you opened the card? etc.

The wording of my denial letter is "you earned a new cardmember bonus on the same product in the last 24 months", which seems to indicate that they count from when the bonus posted... any info?

Data point: I just realized that the Premier BUSINESS card application makes no mention of a 24 month limitation!

Currently it doesn't exist, see my previous post for a workaround

Seems like Chase is trying their hardest to make sure churning dies.
