What’s a good spot for an early team dinner?

Looking for a fleishig cafe-type of place with service.

Elan Kornblum  of the GKRF facebook group was at SEARED restaurant in Lakewood and wrote a long post describing the past 10 months and how they have come up with a new spring menu and lowered the prices.
They removed some of the items that were "too out of the box" for some, increased the portion for many, even added some dishes that are kid friendly and dramatically reduced the pricing on almost every item, some by 25%. This is very important that people spread this. I went line by line over the menu with the manager (I was there all night last night) and prices are same or less than other high end restaurants. One can download the menu on

Let's quickly mention some other rumors that went around.
Rumor: The restaurant was recently sold.
Fact: It's totally false, he has no idea where that came from. He was the owner on Day 1, he is the owner today and with Hashem's help and your support he will be the owner for years to come. He is committed to this restaurant.
Rumor: People have said they can't sit for more than 90 minutes. Fact: Again, he doesn't understand where this came from. That's never been a policy of theirs and maybe it was a misunderstanding. They apologize if anyone felt rushed, the restaurant has 200 seats, they hope to fill it up, but no one should ever be rushed.
OK, so there is a lot here already, and there is more we discussed and we didn't even get to the details of the food, which should really be the focus, and we'll get to that in a future post.
But I just want to conclude with something I speak often in my speeches and talks. Social media has the power to do amazing things, we see it on this group every day, with helping others, sharing beautiful things, but we don't realize the destruction that negative, hateful words can cause. That bill, those whispers between other people gossiping and ruining someone's reputation almost literally caused the restaurant to close. Come check out the place for yourself before making any decision.I'm sure you all going to try it out again and you will be returning again and again.
And please, if anyone has any issue, feedback, advice, speak directly to the owner, let them hear it directly from you. It can be in person, by message, through a middleman like me. We all want restaurants to succeed, we want them to remain open, we're all on the same side, let's try to help them. Thank you.

Lowered by 25 %  :o wow. Seems like the rumors were accurate
That's a lot of margin.

Which makes it still more expensive than Salt which is the gold standard of the area and in a better location. They can blame the bill that was shared but it’s not like anyone that went there was sharing good reviews. I was there and it was way overpriced and the food was mostly not good. The bartender couldn’t make basic drinks. The portions were ridiculously small.

I’m happy that they are taking in the feedback and making big adjustments, I hope they nail it and  succeed.

Exactly. I don't buy into a high bill killing a place, or else RC would also have died long ago.

If prices can be lowered by 25%, something seems off.

Where is that receipt again?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

This is debatable. Local is a plus.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.
