Disabling Ring doorbell for shabbos

exactly. that's still just schedule for alerts

What about the main off button. While it’s manual, does that turn off motion and the notifications properly?

Not here on the top right? Also in Motion Settings. Maybe you need to update app or maybe it’s only on the Pro and you have a different version?

So turning off record motion stops the app from logging the motion but I imagine the red lights on the doorbell still go on.

Does anyone have the Ring Alarm system and have a good way of disabling the contact sensors for Shabbos? Doesn't seem to be anyway to do so in the app so I'm thinking attaching some sort of magnets to make them think that that the doors/windows are closed may be the best option. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks to @APoshiterYid I secured the magnets to the wall via velcro so I pull them off before Shabbos. I only used velcro on the doors that we'd likely open on shabbos.

Looking into this more, it seems like the second generation contact sensors are much better for this, because you can just slide out the actual sensor before Shabbos without detaching it from the wall. https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039497552. If I'm reading this correctly, this is different than the first generation sensors where you'd have to physically detach it or take out the battery.

Yup, I wish there a way to avoid doing anything manually but it doesn't appear to be possible at this point.

I know someone who broke the LEDs on their sensors which solved their problem. But it wasn’t a Ring system so no promising that it won’t break the sensor by doing that.
