Hi,

Looking for ideas. Want to go away for a long weekend in March, probably Thursday to Monday night. I don't want go anywhere too far, but prefer out of the country (from NY).
I prefer non beachy, more interesting type of places, culture etc.
I'm thinking Cartagena, maybe Iceland (I've been there but in the winter, and my husband hasn't), Scotland, Ireland
Prefer a place with Chabad for Shabbos.

Any thoughts?

Rome, Venice, or Prague?

Great culture, and good Chabads within walking distance.

Prague?

No direct flights from NYC. Makes it a pain for such a short trip.

Planning a 5 day trip in May to Latin america. Adventure wildlife beauty and diving are on the must list. Would prefer direct JetBlue flight and someplace that will give me bang for my buck. Points hotels not important. Kosher a bonus but not necessity. Where is my best choice?

Haven't done Europe much at all (other than Croatia)
Did London on a layover once, and Iceland for a weekend.

Venice? Prague? Paris? Rome? Vienna? Dublin? Lisbon? Madrid? Barcelona? Amsterdam? Zurich? Athens? Gibraltar?

So many great options...

Have a flight to Israel next week and ended up with a 14 hour layover in Vienna due to flight changes. Debating changing to a 5 hour or 13 hour layover in Paris instead. Are either Vienna or Paris worth stopping in for a day, which is better, and is 5 hours in Paris long enough to leave the airport for Shacharis and breakfast?
Don't ask stupid questions and you won't get stupid answers

Yes, both cities are worth a stop. Better is relative, read TRs. 5 hours is going to be tight.

Venice is ideal for a weekend. The main activity is walking around, so it's great to do it on shabbos.  Chabad has shabbos meals available.
Edinburgh, Scotland has a very nice 'mile' of quaint walking around that can easily be done on Shabbos. And other available things to do for the rest fo the time.  I'm pretty sure Chabad has Shabbos meals. But there's no restaurants. You may be able to buy takeout meals for non-Shabbos days.
Look to see which cities are known for enjoyable walking around. Look up Chabad.  If they have a website, see if they're set up for tourists.
