I’m not sure how this compares to other places, but it does strike me as high as well. Is it because most are younger, or have treatments improved that much? Any doctor I’ve spoken with has struck down the milder strain theory. Then again, of course the less serious cases discharge quicker, that is intuitive.
The parallels to FL's outbreak in the summer are growing.
Again: A 10% death rate will be???Also: Who can stop people from posting tehillim names? who can stop people from telling their relatives are in the hospital?? Obviously they don't need to tell anybody as most of them are not serious at all...
Were there really already 250 people admitted to the hospital in Lakewood the last month? Sounds like a really alarming number that I haven’t heard. But according to what I said, that would mean 12-25 of that cohort should end up dying. We’ve probably had 5-6 already. And most deaths lag.. r”l!We’ll see, and we should daven that we be the exception and not the dorm. Ein Od Milvado!
Quotes in a signature is annoying, as it comes across as an independent post.
Don’t know. The numbers are certainly a lot lower than they were in March, if that’s what we’re comparing to.ETA: How many people were we saying tehillim for then vs. now? If we are at 5-10% of hospitalizations relative to what we were, do the amount of current known names reflect that? Checking the COVID tehillim thread quickly seems to show yes
Dunno, but this sounds like just a conspiracy theory.
I’ve heard the names Harrari, Blumberg, Grama, Hershkowitz. Which one wasn’t COVID?
Hershkowitz had a host of other medical issues (including sepsis prior to contracting covid), so it's possible he wasn't included. Also, Harrai officially was from a cardiac issue.
So who is the culprit? Doctors not! patients not! family not! So who?
Maybe. I am just repeating what I have been told. I have no information past that.
So after all this you only have something you heared from somebody else....Im a liar and everybody is conspirators based...on something you heared from somebody else......
Also, Harrai officially was from a cardiac issue.
He had Covid and his Oxygen was low 80s, then he had a heart attack. Safe to assume it was covid related. No?
It’s not just Lakewood now. Today’s statewide numbers were over 1300 for the first time since May. The counties with some of the highest numbers are Ocean, Mounmouth, Passaic, and Bergen. Not looking good.
Post here
What makes you think it’s secular? What do those four counties have in common?
As I noted in the OP over there, the first step is it spreading to the frum communities that have been in compliance.
What did "compliance" get them? A few weeks?
