You should know better than make assumptions like that, that's how baseless rumors get started.
Until you've personally spoken to him hold your tongue.
You are right.
I really regret posting whatever I did post here. And since mods didn't oblige when I asked for it to be deleted, I am publicly coming clean.
Whatever I posted, even if 100% accurate, definitely does not belong under any title that reads False Advertising.
While I didn't (yet) get to speak to said Rav Hamachshir, I did speak to his son who is also a good friend. He told me that his father actually hires someone who specializes in Kashering kitchens to do the kashering. He tries to keep the standards as high as possible (כנהוג אצל אנ"ש דליובאוויטש) in a public setting, but obviously it can never be as one would have in their own home. Many people that do care call him up with specific questions before Pesach, to make sure they are comfortable with the standards. Apparently a person once asked him
during Pesach if Garlic was used (many in Lubavitch don't use it, without a טעם), and was upset to find out that the answer was in the affirmative. Someone must have not cared so much about standards to ask in advance, but might have cared that ס'פאסט ניט at some point on Chol Hamoed.
