When I restart, it boots, but then I get the black screen.
Do you get to the windows splash screen?
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

I have started to see a black screen pop on my desktop, telling me that Error: Can't Boot from Hard Disk.  Or something like that.
What's the exact error.  Have you attempted to run a chkdsk or sfc?

HELP! No websites load except for google related sites and select others. I can't figure out the problem. Connection is fine, as I tried it on another computer. K9 not either cuz it was bypassed by installer. Even teamviewer doesn't connect.

Open command prompt (you can find it by searching in the start menu/screen) and type
Code: [Select]
ping google.comand see if you get any replies

How Do You Expect To Load Websites If you're not connected to the internet? as long you can't download pizza you need Internet connection.

Obviously if you're posting here you have connection, so what was your question?

You don't have to. You will only get replies if you are connected to the internet, so it's a good way to check if you are actually connected.

As of last night my laptop keyboard stopped working. This is also true for the wireless keyboard I usually use. Strangely the windows icon which brings up the start menu does work. I don't if it is in anyway but I installed Windows 10 about a week ago. Also should mention that the touchpad, wireless mouse, and on-screen keyboard works. I would really appreciate some help. Thanks.

I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Try uninstalling the keyboard driver: Search for device manager in the start menu search box. Open it and look for keyboards. Expand the keyboards section and right click the keyboard that's listed there. Click uninstall and when it's finished uninstalling, reboot. Please report back

I see 2 keyboards under device manager; HID keyboard device and Standard PS/2 keyboard. Should I uninstall drivers for both?

It worked. Thanks.

Just curious...is the idea that windows would automatically install newest drivers when it reboots?
