CMIIW, but the COVID protocol in the first couple months was “try whatever you think might work”. Blaming protocol for not trying experimental treatments is a weak excuse.
First of all look at the FDA regulations with regards to experimental treatments. Secondly not every hospital has the rights to use the different treatments out there, would it be better if they could? definitely! But unfortunately it is not the case. Thirdly not every patient fits criteria for experimental treatments sometimes it can cause more harm.
All this has to be taken into consideration before just randomly typing whatever comes to your mind.
It's funny to me how everyone became specialists on covid but the actual medical professionals are still stumped.
