So with all the free lines, they're now upping their prices in the existing lines. Too bad I switched over to the 1st responder plan.

AFAIK this increase doesn’t apply to free lines. Sh*tty policy, but oh well. Let’s see if my MM plan is affected, no text yet.

  I love how they promise that we don't increase prices. And its grandfathered in.. all one big bluff.

I guess at this point. I'm gonna shop around to see which one has the best offer for new phones and stay with them for a year to and hop around.

That’s definitely what the big print in the advertising said (at least before the Sprint merger), the fine print has changed a few times and since January “price lock” means if they raise prices they’ll pay your last bill (basically meaningless).

Didn’t know this existed at all. I knew they did temporary unlocks or if you paid off your EIP early.

@AsherO can one add The Insider discount code after the plans already set up or does it need to be added during set up?

Costco has a decent Port offer now, $200 shop card, $250 Visa gift card with a port in from a different carrier. They have an offer if you go on the go 5G Next plan up to $1,000 off a new line with a trade in for a phone that you could buy for $125. As well you can get a free pair of airpod 4th generation.

You're eligible for an upgrade it every year on the Go5Gnext plan.  So should you sell your device every year you would be pretty ahead and effectively get your service for kind of free.

IINM you can redeem an insider code within 30 days, but I’ve never done it personally. You’d have to get the code though, might be easiest to get one from a Costco T-mobile rep.

Go5G Next is only worth it if you want a new phone every year, otherwise the premium you’re paying for the plan isn’t worth it. In reality you’re subject to whatever phone promos they’re offering when the year is up.

Gotta consider that resale value for a one year old is less than purchase price.

According to @yeshivabucher you need to give back that device to be eligible for the new device a year later.
