There's a third situation where there might be a conflict, which is at about 6-7 months when certain severe fetal defects become evident, and some women choose to abort the fetus then, rather than continue to carry a nonviable fetus. They did mention that, but I ignored it because it's not unique to IVF and we discussed that earlier.
