Some women like wine, other's do not. Of the women closest to you, Wife, Mother, daughters, or sisters, please share the percentage of them who appreciate and drink regularly (at least once a month), finer and higher alcoholic wines (over 6%).

For example: If you have a mother, a wife, 3 sisters, and 2 daughters, each one will be around 14%. So if 2 of them fit the bill, it would be 28% of the women close to you.

No, this isn't a scientific study. It's to get a general idea of the wine habits of women in the Frum community.

Since dry wine is mostly an acquired taste and many boys start out by making kiddush on dry wine, often to be like the big ones, naturally there will be a significant difference in men vs women drinking dry wine in the frum community.

I like wine.  Good cabs. And not very dry reds or whites, like Teal Lake Shiraz and Herzog chenin blanc.
My daughters drink a bit when served, although not all their husbands are wine drinkers, so they don't drink often.  Some of my daughters in law are still in the training stage, others we've broken in.

Not a fancy wine drinker and can’t stand such strong tannins. That being said, I’ve never had a better tasting dry red wine than baron herzog Pinot noir. I actually enjoy it, even better than most other Pinot noir’s. No idea why I’m plugging a random wine, and don’t mean to spin this thread off somewhere else 🤷‍♂️

I hope we are talking preference and not practice. My wife appreciates strong wine. However, during childbearing years, opportunities to do more than sip are few and far between. Surgeon general's warning and all that.
Moreover, I discount my daughters when they aren't old enough to have been given the opportunity to have an opinion.
(My two-year-old boy, on the other hand, turns up his nose at the sip of Moscato for Kiddush/Havdala but will happily drink whatever scraps of 15% dry wine blend that I drink whenever my Moscato needs were miscalculated before Shabbos.)

While some may balk at this double standard between man and women, it is inappropriate to dismiss opinions of such poskim without a second thought.
