"In addition, Dutch airline KLM plans to resume its flights between Amsterdam and Tel Aviv starting from April 1 until May 19, 2024, with a daily flight using a Boeing 737-900 aircraft. The flights to Israel will include a layover in Larnaca, where crew members who are unwilling to travel to Israel will be replaced." I can't say I would feel safe with someone anti-Israel enough that they need to make a stop for them to get off.
seems official https://www.ynetnews.com/travel/article/r1dmgpqnt
BA is doing the same thing.
Widebody range vs narrowbody range
Now the airport authority is also talking about Delta resuming flights https://archive.is/2Dz9H
??
AF uses widebody planes which can fly CDG-TLV-CDG nonstop should there be a flare up vs the 737 that KLM is using AMS-TLV-AMS I don't think can do that
Don't get your logic. If there is a flare up, why would they have to go all the way back to AMS? They can divert then to LCA.
Strangely enough, when you pull up a seat chart on these flights, they are basically empty except for Business. Business is over 50% booked. Which makes this even stranger, as they are ticking off good customers.
