I remember having the opposite a while back traveling on an AA issued ticket with the connection operated by LA
Upon arrival bag was not on the belt upon inquiry was told it was being held because the bag fee was not paid
Was a fight until they agreed to contact higher up ....

I actually did pay, but was wondering what would've happened if didnt.
On a side note israir sucks. I think spirit is 1st class compared to them. I only flew them cause had no choice. I paid for “preferred assigned seats” and sure enough agent prints me some random seats that I did not choose/pay.  When questioned she said “im sorry flight is full. You can request refund by calling Israir….. got stuck with 2 middle seats….
Flew them back some 10 yrs ago had some horror stories.

I booked ORD-TLV in C for March 18 with TK miles before the devaluation. The flight was canceled by United. United says the only thing they can do is put me on flight with stop in NYC. TK says they can change date to within 1 month (but there are no ORD-TLV scheduled till October).

Any chance of getting United to change date to October, either ORD-TLV direct or ORD-NYC-TLV? Any chance of getting TK to change date to October without paying the increase?

I had already canceled all the hotels and such so would ideally just go in October, but if going in March is the only way to get the cheap C flight, then maybe it's worth it.
