I have an upcoming stay - they sent me this:

Greeting from Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem

Due to the current circumstances, we are operating with a very small staff.

At the main time we only have the king’s Court which is our dairy restaurant

Open Daily from 12:00 noon till 22:30 PM except Friday

Unfortunately, given the current circumstances, the meat restaurant has closed.

However, we continue offer Shabbat dinner and lunch as usual, but there is no service, only buffet.

Furthermore, the in-room dining service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, although after 10:30 p.m., we only serve cold foods.

Looking to book a one night stay using a FNC, but it seems like they have a 3-night minimum stay to "unlock" the standard room on points (i.e. searching for one night shows only premium rooms, searching for 3 nights on the same dates suddenly shows the standard). Was it always this way?

Anyone have any experience getting around it?

not sure if there is anything to do about it, the reps on the phone have the same system you do.

But if its there at some level, then probably will open up on a single night basis closer in to the stay. I've booked one or two nights out on a certificate during peak times

they play with the system all the time.
Generally they dont,ike that people who come on one night stays use fnc so they change it to 3 night minimum bc they assume no one has that many in one shot. If find on peak its bc hotel gets full compensation so they don't care as much as when off peak bc it costs them more to service the rooms than what they get from hilton in compensation.

This I doubt, their problem is opportunity cost - their problem is that they're only getting reimbursed for costs as opposed to getting their ADR or more.

Generally in WAJ they allow 2nd guest to check in and status is based on the AH , Hilton TLv is more strict on this

Im concerned about this also... Do they have Digital check in & key card? That would avoid having to go to front desk. (Im assuming they don't because they need passport info for tax)

Someone else on your check in has been done in the past, I think you give them your name and the other person and you should be fine.
