Any hotels in Boston area that I can use rewards points to book a suite?
Doubletree Guest Suites 60k HH. That's right on Storrow Drive, across river from Harvard/Cambridge...not a great spot for Shabbos, IMH.
or, if you are coming after early June, there will be the  Homewood Suites
Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston/Brookline, right on Route 9, only 1.2mi from YI Brookline.
Aside from that, I don't know where else you could get a suite with points.
You might be able to get a BRG at
enVision Hotel Boston, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member

When I check the doubletree it shows that they have 60K suite available (as well as higher point options) but when I log-in I get a message that the rate isn't available. What gives?

Is anyone familiar with Andover, MA? We are considering staying there this summer as a base to see Boston and Gloucester. They have a SpringHill Suites that's only 60,000 Marriott points for 5 nights and is large enough for my whole family (of 6). Is it too far to use as a base?

Definitely in the Eruv.  Close to young Israel Brookline...probably 20 minutes walk. Also could walk to Maimonides minyan. Similar distance I think. Or could visit newton center. About an hour walk though.

It would work. I'm sure you would enjoy being closer to town but I understand the cost is often prohibitive and/ or space is tricky. Figure an hour drive each way from your hotel to Boston and/or Brookline (Baruch-line) and to Gloucester.

Check out the new Hilton-chain hotel mentioned right after your post. That is 70k/night. Sounds like pretty roomy. Brand new. Opening July 1. Much better location than Andover.

Generally, no, unless you know someone with a driveway.
Brighton, where there are a number of shuls/mikvas,  borders Brookline but is within the City of Boston. You might be able to find parking there.

Answered via PM.
Bay State Taxi has been a reliable company for me for years, in the pre-Uber era.  My mother still uses.

Trying to plan a one day trip to Boston courtesy of JetBlue.
As of now going to be landing at ten and returning at seven, giving me about eight hours on the ground.
What would be the best way to go about scheduling the day ?
I want to do the duck tour, Sam Adams Brewery, get to eat a nice lunch, daven mincha and maybe see the USS Constitution as well.
Also, can I do this all with public transportation - don't want to spend money on a cruise rental ?
Thanks for any help in the matter

Might be doable, but isn't it a lot of running all over to things that aren't particularly near each other?
