TLV airport is such a pain, though it's not LYs fault. One of the worst outbound airports in the world.

Got dinged for a scratch by Hertz, that should be a fun claim.

In-flight service was passable, nothing like the outbound.

KDL food is a 4.
Hamasbia food onboard is a 1. Was very jealous of the regular kosher meal. LY must find another mehadrin vendor IMHO. Or bring it in-house.

Ate the regular KDL food, some pizza, sabich, and banana cake.  I wouldn't call it great, but it was certainly edible, which is more than can be said for the Hamasbia meals.

Usually they have a broader selection of fresh salads, pitta, couscous + sides, good cakes. While i wouldn't have minded a good steak, i definitely prefer eating onboard

1. Security check line, very quick for J.
2. Checkin line, not bad for J.
That's all fine.

3. Then all of our bags are duffels, so there's another long line for that, with swabbing, passport scanning, and loading, which is slow as molasses and like nothing I've seen elsewhere.

 4. Actual airport security line, shorter than expected. But makes you wish for precheck and not having to remove all the kids tablets, etc.

5. Outbound immigration gates, not compatible with strollers/carseats, so sent to a long line for that, and then cursed out for bringing the whole family there (as directed) instead of splitting up.

6. Boarding is then all over the place, and you're forced to throw away your liquids before a 12 hour flight when a bottle of ice water would have been most useful.

AFAIK that's a US security requirement rather than an Israeli thing.  And IME (not LY) not strongly enforced (I.e. If it's in your bag and no one sees it, it will pass. You're just asked if you have liquids and told to discard).

Again, this isn't on LY. It's on Natbag. If liquids were banned in general this wouldn't be an issue.
