the platinum status definitely gives premium internet for free at all SPG. The biz card is a new elite status that suddenly allows Club access (thankfully not including children), so the internet is probably a YMMV.

I was curious for people that have SPG business CC for each spouse. After you get your bonuses for both of them do you cancel or downgrade one of them because of the new rule of not getting the bonus till a year later. TIA Hope I am clear in my question

we both have our biz cards each year. We both earn spg points all year and we spend them for vacations and travel, and to work towards SPG plat.

The question is if we are allowed to combine the first 4 eligible nights together to the same account to equal 8?

What do you mean "a problem"? That there is no card to downgrade to?

Yes. Had the same problem. They said can only downgrade to other co-branded cards (Delta etc) which all had AFs.

Dan recommended HUCACACA. Tried 6 times. Finally on the sixth time the woman kindly 'assisted' me in downgrading to a Blue cash.
Throughout the process I confirmed with her multiple times that I did not want to apply - only downgrade - and I did not want any hard pull on my credit, which she confirmed.

After all is said and done, I get a call from New Accounts Dept. saying that they just received my new application and a hard pull was done....

I was able to get the pull expunged but just had to close the card (and transfer the credit line).

Ftfy. You can only do it if you originally set up the cards under the same Spg number. Once they are separate and under two different names, the stays cannot be merged

What if a new 18+ age member in household is approved for new SPG four years later? Are his 4 stays mergeable with mine?

Yes. 1 year from when you close it for the biz SPG.
