Sure. but if you expect it to go up 30-50% in next 6 months because of earnings which is $1700-$2000 a share it was worth buying 2 days ago also as nobody knows when the dip is coming and it could of gone up to $1700 and than dip to $1500 so you would of lost the gain... point is that if you believe in its huge upside than need to have guts to say BUY eeven when its going up up up without a dip

Not enough of a "sale" to pull the trigger IMHO. I would take a second look once dividend yield goes above 3%.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

And 5 years ago it was a quarter of the price.... Point is its been steady growth all along, and we can assume it'll continue, a week ago it would have been smart to buy to, but now it's on sale.
Just remeber that assuming growth will continue doesnt support the price because if growth is moderating just a bit than p/e multiples will freefall and even with much higher profit price will still be lower.
and remeber they own already 43% of ecommerce market share and dont expect them to own 70% because than government will brake up monopol.
But.. tey still have  alot of room from the brick and mortar stores. How much????????? Million dollar question

Huh??
When you shop for a car you don’t check around who can give you the best price for the make and model you want?
I’m sure you do!!
But why??
If you believe the type of car you settled for is a good car and you find great value in it, why not just buy it from the first dealer you bump into without comparing prices?? 🧐

Don't trade stocks like you buy a car.
But do invest in stocks like you buy a car.

I guess there are 2 types of investors, those that like to buy at highs and dips and those who only like to buy on dips, I consider myself in the second camp, and do the math, tell me who gets a greater ROI.

Sure those who buy on highs and dips get a much greater ROI. those who buy only on dips lost out the whole market gain of past 2 years

You clearly don’t follow individual stock.
The market as a whole didn’t dip much in the last 2 years but the constant rotation in individual stocks and even in sectors sure as hell resulted in dips , amzn for example dipped 10% 6 months ago during a flaming bull market!

But during a dip some which had previously not been undervalued can become so.

But during a dip some which had previously not been undervalued can become so.
Correct. but a stock that u expect a 50% increase than a 5-7% dip doesnt make it undervalued. and everyone is right that AFTER the dip is here its more worth than before, just that by waiting on a dip to come, you can loose out a lot of gains so if your analysis on an earnings report makes you believe in such a jump in the stock price, by waiting for a dip you have alot to loose
