It's not just Lakewood - it's the same thing here for the most part in brooklyn too. Both my block and my parents block which are on opposite ends of town both were not plowed until today.

Spinning mediocrity into something amazing is just silly.
Toronto is clean and seems pretty safe, stick with those selling points.

It ought to be a top kosher scene based on it's size but it's just not. YUL and YVR put it to shame. As do LAX/MIA/NYC/ORD.

It's great that our citys reputation for cold winters has scared everyone away, because that's part of what makes MINNEAPOLIS the best Jewish community in the us.
Small, clean,beautiful,safe, with abundant lakes and trails, a few kosher restaurants ( maybe one or two more wouldn't hurt

), great people, and just a really good place to live and raise a family!
Not that the entire new York should come and move in...

I like Minneapolis a lot. If only it were just a tad bigger. For now I just stick to the occasional visits.

I lived in Montreal for 2.5 years (uptown). The only area that was really growing with young people is the "Downtown" chassidish community. I hear that there are attempts to help grow the young community "Uptown" but I left frustrated with the job Market, and lack of social scene our age. I am also not a cold weather person so that didnt help.
