BUMP

Paging @Yisroel Tech.
This CD to hard drive caddy is something that works technically. It's impossible for me to assess why it doesn't work for you.

Did you install drivers if they came on a disk with the product? Do you at least have a not recognized device in Device Manager?

It doesn't boot up at all.

If I want to connect a HDMI monitor to my laptop via USB, do I need a "converter" or is a (cheaper) "adapter" enough?

(I asked this question about about VGA, now I'm asking about HDMI)

Any specific product you would recommend for this?

You'd need a converter (which has a mini graphics card inside).

Something like this.

I'm looking for one that also has one (or 2) USB ports that I can plug other things into. Does that exist? If yes, can i just look for any that say "converter" in the title?

Haven't seen anything cheap for USB 3.0. USB-C seems to have a bunch of cheaper ones with that.

For USB 3.0, you'd probably need a docking station that can handle that, like this or this.

Or, you can get a regular cheap USB hub and then connect the converters USB to the hub.

You want to use this for the boot drive?

Just loading a secondary hard drive also doesn't work?

And, again, Did you install drivers if they came on a disk with the product? Do you at least have a not recognized device in Device Manager?

Just wondering, I was told that I would need something like this

EVGA® NVIDIA® GeForce® 01G-P3-1313-KR Video Card, 1024 MB DDR3, 9.6 GBPS

This seems to have worked.
Still working? I have this issue in multiple (10-15) machines, Outlook 2010,13,16. Tried pushing updates, rebuild indexes etc. All worked temporarily, but reverted back. Will try this in the morning.

Something like this is the right way to go when possible. This is normal and good enough speed and performance.

If one doesn't have the option to use this (he was asking about a laptop) then a USB is basically the only option (although, since this isn't a simple adapter but rather an external graphics card, I wouldn't buy such a cheap one, the good ones cost $35 or so.)

Folders or links? See here https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/3037979/korean-message-center-link-appears-on-the-windows-desktop (just funny because I doubt you have Korean language pack. Or do you?)

When viewing my pictures from my camera(after having them put in a new folder on my computer), I have many pics which are side ways (as they were taken sideways) and I always sit there going through each picture flipping it, curios to know if there's a program or some keyboard shortcut to flip them all at the same time? (not each by itself.)
 Thanks
