A real Mobile trap is something that doesn't exist here, a patrol car in motion can record your speed (while both car are in motion), take a picture of the license plate and send the ticket to the registered adresse.

I gave up on speeding a while ago, everywhere. It's just not worth it.

Except on the GSP bridge right before the Outerbridge. No one goes 45 there.

It's a life saver.

Waze will usually alert to lazer, as cop has to be in a stationary position, usually for a prolonged period of time, therefore it usually gets reported on waze [if there are waze using drivers on the road]

Radar will alert to stationary vehicles  who use radar and moving vehicles who use it.

Most local ticket in tri state area are radar.

On the GSP cops use both, it's more laser use up north and more radar down south, although laser has been migrating south as of late [spotty usage]

99.9% of the time cops using lazer on the GSP are in a major known spot or reported on Waze.

Radar really helps, you can even have installed a lazer jammer for full protection.

Thanks, but I’m happy with my current arrangement. Don’t like the idea of spending $500 every few years on a radar detector when I’ve never gotten a speeding ticket.

Is there any use fighting one of these tickets with one of these apps that fight nyc traffic tickets (like winit)? Was pictured speeding 14 over and presumably am wrong but just wondering if I should simply pay it immediately or if there was any way to have it dismissed or have the fine lowered.

What's with the new shtick with Silver/aluminum Spray paint on the plates?
 Don't people get smarter with time? Seems to me just the opposite is happening.
 What story you going to tell the cops this time? You ran over a silver can of spray paint that covered some of my plate, or you were working on a project requiring silver spray paint but it was extremely windy and caused the spray paint to be sprayed on my plates?!? 

 While on this topic, maybe I can locate the owner or at least find someone that knows him or them, saving the need to pay for a new single plate.

Thanks. I just paid it and incidentally when I put in my violation number it pulled up another speeding ticket that hadn't even gotten mailed out yet

You can sometimes find issues with the cameras. For example, one camera didn't have a speed limit sign on the right-hand side of the street. A ticket can get thrown out for that.

My time is worth much more then what these tickets cost, When I had my 1st baby I got 3 tickets in less then an hour 2 speeding camera and one parking it`s called cost of living, and at least when I exited the hospital my car was right in the front (Thanks hashem for not towing it) so I paid a few dollars for parking! and some more for not having my baby on the Pkwy

They usually mark these things in their system.
   And when one would get pulled a 2nd time what would you say?
