Motorhome Adventures in Utah and Arizona by PBaruch (2016)

Wow, great TR and amazing pics! My main question is why keep zigzagging in and out of Arizona? Bryce, Zion and the Grand Canyon are in a row (North to South) with the bottom of Bryce Canyon being at the same elevation as the top of Zion, and the bottom of Zion being at the same elevation as the top of the Grand Canyon. Most people do Bryce, Zion, Grand or reverse. Why did you choose the order you did?

You'd have to ask DW.  She planned it.  Some of it had to do with getting reservations at certain campgrounds as the nice ones book up well in advance.  We booked the campgrounds six months in advance and by then some of them were already booked solid.  If anyone here intends on doing a summer RV trip I'd recommend booking campgrounds a year in advance.

Im smack in the middle of a similar trip right now. Did Sedona and Grand Canton South Rim earlier this week, Antelope Canyon and Page, AZ today and will be in Zion and Bryce tomorrow and Thursday.  Making my way up to SLC for shabbos and then off to Yellowstone next week!

I'm not sure what you mean by nausea. The kids sat by the dinette table right behind the two front seats. The dinette and sofa had lap belts.

Didn't know about antelope

Just be aware that Antelope Canyon is very expensive. It's on Native American land and they charge a fortune. IIRC you can only go with a guided tour.

There are several tour companies you can go with but I hardly think 30-40 pp for each canyon plus the Navajo entry fee of what I think was 8.00 is very expensive. I was kind of miffed that they charged for my two year old though.

Ruby's Inn RV Park & Campground is HUGE! i hear its family owned and they run basically that whole town.
 heard of angels landing hike?
its awesome although i recommend doing it early morning as it gets REALLY hot
i got delayed last time i did it (2 weeks ago) and it was 104 degrees!! barely any shade along the hike.
 that slot canyon hike looks amazing will have to check it out  thanks for the great pics!

Unfortunately angels landing was not something I was able to do being with the family and all.

240 does sound a bit expensive but that could just be me

Of course, expensive is all relative.
The main point is that it's not a National Park where you pay just a small entrance fee (or use your pass) and that's it.

The total cost was about 2700 including all insurance and prepay for 1k miles. The rental only includes 50 miles per day. You can buy miles at the back end but it is cheaper to prepay for the block of miles that you expect to use.

We were there yesterday. It was $20 pp for the tour and $8 pp to get on to the Indian land. Well worth it!
