is there still a point in having status with hyatt before signing up for the chase hyatt card?
How hard is it to get 1 stay at some cheap Hilton? You guys are gonna kill the whole matching program.
I just got platinum status just for having the card.
got 2nd diamond trail with no card...
What was the time between the two trials?
I just got my 2nd trial. its been a little less than 2 years apart for me- also no card.
Did you use different loyalty accounts to get matched or the same one twice ?
I was also able to get 2 Diamond trials on the same Hyatt account. I used different loyalty accounts for the match though (first Marriott, then IHG). It was just over a year between requests.
I got the trial but won't be able to finish all 12 nights. If I use a suite upgrade now for a friend who will be staying shortly after my trial expires, he won't get diamond benefits, correct?
depends what you mean by end of trial,. You have 60 days from when you begin your trial to earn the 12 nights but regardless you'll be diamond until the end of the month. So if you started your trial in the middle of the month, you'll really get 2.5 months of status.
the stay will be in the calendar month after the trial is over
Pretty sure that's a no then. As far as I've seen it's the status when you check-in that matters, not when you booked it. If you log in to your Hyatt account and click on Account Details, your Tier Expiration date should tell you everything you need to know.
