I've had 3 colonoscopies, and followed basically none of this advice. I live in a one bathroom apt, started prep at work, didn't change my diet in the slightest, and I'm a firm NOPE on watching this imax.
People are different, in sensitivity to the taste, in effect of the prep on the digestive tract, and so on. What worked for me wouldn't necessarily help everyone, just something to consider.
The change in diet for a day or two before is not required, but it may make the procedure a bit easier by decreasing the amount of feces that need to be eliminated, so you reach the all-liquid phase sooner.

I find watching these kinds of videos extremely nauseating.
After reading so much biology with cartoon-like illustrations of the digestive tract, it was thrilling to see it for real, in the flesh.
And how can the official DDF salad correspondent adhere to a no salad diet for a day?
It was weird. I think I had eggs, fish, chicken and potato without the skin.
And how can the official DDF aficionado of pareve-cholent-with-kishke be nauseated by the sight of a squeaky clean kishke?
