$150 per passanger or total? Definitely a schlep to JFK from lakewood. But in regards to comfort. Delta flies a 2 - 4 - 2 configuration if thats a plus? And plane was pretty comfortable.

Is that so?  Or is it that you can book the Delta flight through VA?

If you value more comfort, less hassle for connections and don't mind long connection (won't hurt eating a good meal at a kosher restaurant) then option 1
If time is your main priority then option 2
Don't see a case where option C would really make sense except if you most fly transatlantic leg in J and 4 1/2 hour longer journey is the end of the world (or if you really hate sitting a bit longer on planes)

Dubai is very safe (probably safer then NYC...) there shouldn't be any concern about flying via DXB or entering Dubai (at least in my opinion)
