There were some old general threads about this topic but thought would be better to post here.

As (I hope) is by now well known, stores hike up their menu prices on UberEats. These are some of the markup on sandwiches that I calculated, in percentage points and dollars, vs. buying in store or the stores website:

Crunch Time: ~18.5% Markup [$3-4] (Not exactly the same on each but all at about that number.
Nostalgia: 25% Markup [$4-11(Tongue Sandwich:45 UE 56.25)]
Flysh: 30% Markup [$3-7]
Bun Burger: 35% Markup  [$6-9 (French Dip: 28/UE 37.80)]
Glatt Bite: 42.39% Markup [$6-12 (Sino steak sandwich: 26.99/Uber eats 38.59)]
Only makes sense to order with a promotion..

If anyone has a bit of time on their hands, the percent discount needed to break even after figuring in Uber eats fees for each store would be helpful. IME the 40% coupon combined with Uber one is often a wash.

This is limited and still somewhat in beta, but if you work in a large office or office building, sign up to kitchen one - getk1.com - run by the owner of Mikes chicken.

It has a bunch of restaurants and establishments on there, and they charge 0-10% markup, no delivery fees, and no minimums. What‘s the catch? The catch is that you have to order before a cutoff time, and they deliver within a specific time slot. The idea is - the stores can prepare and deliver all the orders in bulk to k1, and k1 delivers in bulk to offices that have a bunch of people ordering.

Right now they've been having some issues and only offer 1 time slot. Yet it’s still a brilliant idea and the greatest lunch option out there by far.

Are those brands under Mike's Chicken really different food options than what is available directly from Mikes? Or is it just a ploy to create the impression that there are more store options than there actually are?

I just found the following:

EataPita has no markup at all on their sandwiches.

On the other food they have a 15% markup, so would def be your best bet.

kudos to them.

There is a 2.49 delivery fee as opposed to 49 cents for the others but still a great deal especially with a coupon.

Its more than what they regularly offer and makes it easier to find. But they have many other places that aren’t owned by mikes.

This is insane, thank you for this.
Always knew there was a markup, never realized how significant.

Crunch time almost always has a buy one get one on an item or two. That combined with a coupon makes it the best deal in Lakewood by far.
