What I had in mind was the Yosef Lekach by R' Eliezer Ashkenazi. It's named after a Jewish Politician named Don Joseph who assisted him in his time of need according The Travels of Rabbi Eliezer Ashkenazi.

Yup. This was what I was looking for, though I like the creative answers from the next posters.

I once delved into the possibility of making Mezonos on liquid, like a case of the liquid of barley soup, but the poskim I spoke to told me that it's not possible unless you are also eating some of the barley.

Here is another but I don't know that answer to this one. This is from Rabbi Reisman's weekly Parsha shiur that is emailed out to thousands of people. He asked this question last year on Shabbos Hagadol, but I never got the following week's paper to know the answer. I'm assuming it has to do with Pesach.

"One more riddle for which you have to know a S’if in Shulchan Aruch. How is it possible to eat one Kezayis of Kosher food and eating that Kezayis obligates you in 20 Berachos because you ate that Kezayis? The answer will be told IY”H next week."

Eating before havdala if you weren't mavdil in Shmoneh esrei. 19 brachos in Shmoneh esrei. plus bracha acharonh.
Could've been 23 with bread.

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

Need a kzayis for this?

Interesting, but I think his answer would be along the lines of Pesach. I'm assuming the answer is the kezayis of Matza at the seder. And I'm assuming the brachos include brachos on mitzvos of growing wheat and more process things, like Hafrashas Challah, Kiddush before, etc.

Neither missing havdalah in tefillah nor eating before havdalah obligates you to repeat shmoneh esrei. And the kzayis doesn't matter either.
