I only have a little over an hour before my awards expire (midnight koh samui time). $20 reward to anyone who's answer leads to my ticket booked  ;D

Did you try calling the web support desk? They have been able to price things out when regular staff are not able to.

Interesting...I'll definitely try it. Is this the 1-800-589-5582 number? Also since I'm trying to get something they technically aren't allowed to do, I'm not sure if I want people who probably know their stuff  :D

So I'm going BKK-IST-TLV and want to add USM-BKK for two days before.

I think that when they had the single confirmation for me and my wife together they had the proper taxes priced, but then when they split it to two itineraries things went wrong. Last time I got them to add the USM-BKK stopover connection the same day as the BKK-IST-TLV flight first (even though technically its under the minimum connection time), and then on a separate call I got them to change it to two days before. I'm thinking maybe I'll try the same 2 steps this time just with the separate rewards. I already got them to add the USM-BKK leg again to both, now I just need them to move it to two days before.

Who ever knew redeeming miles was so much work!

hnl-lax, sna-ord-lhr
or do  open jaws need to be at the begining or end of a trip?

How about hnl-sna, lax-vvi-mga-lax.  Would that be 2 open jaws and a stopover?

I'm confused by your questions. Are you looking for a legal routing? Because I assure you that is not one

I would like to fly from la to Bolivia and then to Nicaragua. If I could add on a free one way to hawaii, that would be great as I would book the other way with 12.5k ba miles

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Finally got my one-way stopover flights ticketed and confirmed! In terms of hours on the phone I don't know if it was worth it, but I just saved $300 so I'm happy.

Called again one time this morning, got an american (I guess their center is back up and running) and I explained to the rep the situation. She said she was going to call her support desk and she was going to put me on hold. I honestly thought, 'ok I'm cooked again, I should probably just hang up', but I was working on the computer so I figured I'd just enjoy the United music for a little bit and see if anything comes out of it.

She comes back on, says it can't be done. I tell her I know it's not supposed to be able to be done, but it was already that way once, they made a 'special exception' because there was no business class that day or the day before. She says she'll try, and after another 30m on hold she comes back on and asks for my credit card number. I don't think I've ever been so happy to pay airport taxes.   :P

As an aside she also told me she charged the $25 booking fee for each ticket, I told her she wasn't supposed to do that, and she said she put in a request for a refund so we'll see.

That sounds like it would be 2 stopovers and an open jaw, so it wouldn't be allowed officially.
Maybe write out your desired routing so ppl can advise.

What are allowed stopovers (and OJs) for a roundtrip Aeroplan StarAlliance partner award North America-TLV? Any other MembershipRewards partners that are better to use for this?

But they have YQ on all their (non-US-based) partners... How do their routing rules compare to AC? (with specifics I can make an apples-to-apples comparison).

Only roundtrip (no oneways)
4 stops
“No stopovers or ground transportation within the country of origin are permitted on international routes.”In other words, on routes with two or more countries you can not stopover in the home country. So you can’t stopover in Houston on your way to Bogota.
Only 1 stopover in each city
Open-jaws are allowed
But (regarding open-jaws) you need to return to the same country
Itinerary is valid for up to 12 sectors (which I assume means segments)

Sure. It's legal. But if already booked it will incur a change fee

It's not booked yet.

So how would I build the itin to have HNL at the end? Do I do HNL-JFK-TXL-WAW and then change the date on HNL to come sometime after WAW? Or could it only be added to the beginning of the itin since it's a OW?
