News-Medical.Net: Transmission of Omicron in a quarantine hotel between two vaccinated individuals across a corridor.

PlatinumGuy already mentioned this a while back and it’s been reported from quarantine hotels in both NZ and HK. Not sure if this is a new report or another article about the previously reported HK case. I don’t remember if the previous HK report mentioned vaccination status.

Does testing have to be done by lab recognized in Israel? Traveling with a Doctor, can he give me rapid test and sign off on his letterhead and use it to leave Israel?

Last I checked, you need a PCR test to enter the airport terminal.

Not with a Green Pass.

Is it true that if you are going to Israel and have not had the booster shot, you can do a serology test in the airport and once that comes back positive you can get a month green pass and exit quarantine?
You can't go to Israel if you don't have a shot within the last 6 months or Israeli passport

My brother is (hopefully) making his first bris on Wednesday. Is there any hope to get my father a permit to come in for it?
He got two doses in March, and tested positive on January 14. He'd like to arrive in Israel Monday or Tuesday (Jan 24/25)?
Any hope, and if yes, how?

Apply for a permit. There's certainly a chance.

Does anyone know how you can go to Israel for under 72 hours. My husband is in Israel now and it took four days for his PCR from the airport to come back. They are currently experiencing a backlog. If he had had to leave after three days he would not have been able to because technically he was still in bidud. We would be coming back for my son’s engagement party. I know there is dispensation for weddings but I don’t think for engagements.

Mazal Tov, maybe someone here knows of paid/private PCR options that turn around much quicker even nowadays.

DW got a text message that she's released from Bidud (isn't it anyways the shorter of 24 hours or getting negative PCR?) quite a while before she received test results.

Quote

Email with test results came the next day.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

If you're vaccinated, the quarantine on arrival is capped at 24h even if the test results don't come back.

That’s what we thought too. Is it only if you are vaccinated in Israel? Because his email said he is in bidud until 1/30

Is Israel accepting a Rapid PCR (like an ID-NOW or Accula) as a 72 hr PCR or is this treated as a test that needs to be done within 24 hours?

Time sensitive question, if a vaccinated Israeli is in America for less than 72 hours, does he need a pcr to get on a plane back to Israel?

No - very clearly listed on the website.   First bullet point of the people exempted.

I believe there is an exemption for the pre departure covid test (for entry into Israel) for those recovered in the previous 90 days. Is this something I need to apply for, or can I simply show up to the airport with a positive PCR within the last 90 days?
