That poster cites a law from 2018, seems to have nothing to do with COVID capacity. Doesn’t explain why it’s a scotch-taped piece of paper instead of a permanent sign.
Wasn’t up before AFAIK and was posted next to the other covid signage. I took it as 1092 being the current maximum allowance (essential businesses are allowed 50% of the maximum capacity) based off the NJ Building Code 2018 but perhaps you are right and they are posting the full regular capacity so they can base the 50% allowed by the governor off of that number. In that case they are actually allowed to have only 546 patrons inside in one shot
