Correct, no one way drop off fees.

So you can drive to one city drop off the car. Hang around a for a few days. Pick up a new car. Leave.

Only pay for 2 days. The day you take and the day you drop it off.

Does anyone know how the "My Car" rental works.
Can an American use it?

Not exactly.
No membership fee.
Hourly Charge. Depends on size of car. My car has variable priceing depending on time of day, City Car is set. Starts at 6 shek/hour in mycar, 10 shek in City.
Plus milage charge, again depends on size of car.
Round trips only.  You must return the car to the area were you picked it up.
Each service has deals for longer rentals ex: 7 hours+ the per kilometer charge decreases, you can take it over shabbos and just pay for the time befroe and after shabbos.
Return it on time or you will be charged a late fee. ( last I checked, city's was 30 shekel plus a shekel a minute.)
Unless someone else has reserved the car, you can extend your rental before time expires.

You will need to send them your passport and blue entrance visa, if you are driving on a foreign passport, so set up you account before you need it.\
MyCar has a newer fleet, with waze (alggedly) in all cars. CityCar has a larger fleet. If you're planing on relying on the car share while your here, signup for both, so you have more of a chance of anavailable car. If you don't really speak hebrew, use the app/website to reserve a car, not the phone system.

Not that it means a lot, but I picked up a citycar in Herzliya. Barely a charedi area.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Thanks for the info! Is there a decent amount of cars in Rechavia? Are there any other good options in the Mamila area, if I need a car, for a day here or there?

When I returned my car to Avis in Ben Gurion there was some damage on it (scrapes on the front bumper). They filled out a damage report and I never heard back.

I see that they charged me $102 but I did use some tolls. Is it possible that the $102 includes the minor damage?
