Come to Israel people. Shelves are fully stocked. We even have toilet paper on sale.
Not sure where all these people shop. But every store I was at recently was fully stocked and had plenty of toilet paper

First and foremost, suppliers. We will be seeing many bankruptcies in that space. Some are losing money in the billion dollar range, and I don't mean lost profits.
Generators and utilities whose entire structure has been upended by all of the closed businesses and all of the houses in use. The regulators are going to have a difficult time dealing with many aspects of this.
What about the big companies like ComEd. Are they at risk?

Exelon has subsidiaries which were hit VERY hard. Utilities are regulated so they will end up getting their money, but utilities are typically a safe haven and here they did worse than the indeces.

Wait the shelter in place guy wants to travel?
Can you spell hypocrite?  :)
I think locking down areas to control the spread is smart. I also think safely and carefully reopening is smart too. Just like Israel locked down better than here, and thus managed to dramatically contain the virus, I think they’re likely to reopen better than here as well. We’ll be in a hotel for 2 weeks, get tested twice, then hopefully be free for a few months at a level I wouldn’t get back here!

Yes, there will be some safety hurdles to getting there, but I think the one time risk of flying safely outweighs each dangerous trip outside here.

I'll give you a hint, go around the fridge shelf and check for cottage cheese and some other dairy items. TP shortage was a month ago.

What about the perception of traveling during this? Is that really better than say praying on your porch or front law?

Are you referring to kosher brands and stores or all over? Many of these go through the same thing each year after pesach.

I'm talking about Kosher brands only, and not because of Pessach rather because:
I spoke this morning to a grocery store manager in Williamsburg. Seems like many Kosher companies are having a hard time making Kosher production even when it's local (especially in NY). They don't want to let anyone outside the company coming in.
They simply don't need the money from the Kosher production that they do usually. Most of food companies have more demand than supply. They are not interested in a side business even with a hazmat suit.

Milk and cheese are products that need a Mashguiach very often.
Other items will last till they finish the stock.

They can empty out the cottage cheese, spinach, and a whole bunch of other sections as far as I am concerned :)

Well what do you think the cottage cheese eaters will buy if there is no cottage cheese?

When stores are out of those foods, people will buy the foods you like instead, rather than go hungry for lack of spinach....

Last week I actually asked a friend who works for one of the big kashrus agencies about this. It's not simple. In many instances they need to improvise, rely on video feed and going over the purchase orders etc.. Most plants only get a visit a few times a year anyways. This usually won't work for doing a kosher run in a nonkosher plant. so eventually you will start seeing more products missing from the shelves.

We're actually planning a special production for mid May which seems to be on track

It was discussed on DDF recently, I think in this thread.

Not everyone can subside on @Tuna Baygel lol, especially with Shavuous coming a dairy shortage (in the CY market) won’t be fun.

Are the mashgichim able to be there? If not how do you plan on doing it.

Depending on where it is and if the mashgichim are local I assume it can still work in some circumstances. Doing a special run in a plant in Germany or Italy is probably not going to happen now.

We can expect all products from overseas where a Mashguiach is needed to fly to (a restricted country), to be oos which put some challenges to replace because we got use to the globalization (the way it should be).

We're not talking about overseas... We're talking about right here here in our backyard.
