T-Mobile free Phone line back again with new or existing accounts

I got an iPhone 12 free ($830 credits over 24 months) with trade in of an iPhone 8 and porting in a line. Stacked with free line promo, so now I have 2 paid lines and 6 free. FTW!

I heard that idea. I guess it would work for anything that offers a trade in. So for android users, also a Samsung s21.

Maybe next round I'll go that route. How much did you pay for the iphone 8  on ebay? Broken even works? Link to buy ome?

I paid $180 and my seller is sold out of that one. Can probably get an android S9 or one of the other qualifying devices (different list for each trade in promo) for less. But make sure your seller will send you an IMEI before shipping.

I paid more for a device I knew would pass their inspection, supposedly all they care about is cracked screen (or other major physical damage) and/or water damage, but I didn’t want to risk it. Device also has to not be iCloud locked (or whatever the android equivalent is) and IIRC not blacklisted by the carrier (e.g. bills not paid, stolen, etc).

The way I see it, t-mobile is giving me $830 and I won’t be able to switch the trade in device. So it was worth buying from a wholesaler/cell phone specialist that will give me what I’m expecting and I don’t save $50 but get screwed out of my $830.

If you can trade in a device (e.g. iPhone and port in an AT&T/Verizon line (can buy one on eBay) you might be eligible for a free iPhone 12 ($830 off after monthly credits).

If the device is for screen time then probably the one with the biggest display and/or most durable (though a case would solve that).

Oh, and btw, I chose the Revvl 4+ even though it was less $$$ than LG Stylo 6 and certainly the Iphone SE. Figured: for the screen - drop the Iphone. and For the Revvl 4+ because it was released in August of 2020. - More recent.

Not worth buying in advance because you can’t know what the next promo will require (i.e. which cheapest device will have the best trade-in value). Also, prices keep dropping. Case in point, the same iPhone 8 I bought last time for $200 cost $180 this time.

Does Hatzalah or whatever organization you're with have an exception? Based on this page it's only for government based first responders, with potential exceptions made for non-profit volunteer first responder organizations.

I’m not sure, conflicting reports from CSRs on his many voice lines my plan can have but I can certainly get 1 more, maybe 3 more. It’s not a credit issue, it’s about how the SOC (plan code) is programmed.

Just beware that such plans might not qualify for all promotions. But can’t beat a cheap plan.
