They weren’t stolen. The judge ruled there was probable cause to believe the nuclear codes were hidden either in his passport or in Trumps favorite pair of underwear.

Contrast that with the lie after lie the Trump team has put out about this search that the media has also reported on. Has the DOJ been shown to lie about this investigation at all?
Why would they have the passports if they weren't on the itemization? Are they allowed to seize passports as part of a search warrant?
My point was not the way Trump's guy framed it, but this was absolutely a misleading response by DOJ to say "we don't have it" when they actually did take it and gave it back. What are you trying to show that they lie less than Trump? The soft bigotry of low expectations.
