A friend of mine flew Turkish, from Israel to NY, when he landed he was notified that 2 of his bags were left in Turkey and he'll be receiving them tomorrow. Is there any type of compensation that he can get or ask for?

My flight just got canceled. Am put on a flight for first thing in the morning. Airline is american airlines. Was canceled for weather related issues. Can you get compensation for weather related cancelations, if yes what would be the best way to go about it?

Why should they compensate you for bad weather?

It is the law in europe and other places that if you are delayed to be compensated, however if the delay is out of the airlines hand (i.e. weather, etc) then the are not liable and don't have to offer anything.

Why should the airlines have to compensate you for something that was out of their control?  :o :o

Despite calling (twice) to confirm a kosher meal request, they did not have one for us. This was on a recent flight that we booked with AA miles, but operated by USAir (CLT -> BCN).

Should this be addressed through USAir or AA? What is reasonable compensation for this?

Thanks!

A thirty minute delay? Call the FBI and write a letter to Congress. This sort of behavior should not be tolerated, I agree.

Long story short after after getting off/on the plane twice they decided we needed a new plane and by 10 pm they would tell us if he plane was fixed or they got a new one or if the flight was cancelled all together We were supposed to leave at 4pm .  At 9:45 we hear an announcement last boarding for newark airport, so I run to that gate (it wasnt on the tv or anything) turns out it was our flight and everyone else got a text or email and we didnt get anything.  I had to run back and forth across the airport to get my things, seriously having heart palpitations as this was the last flight thur nt and the fri morn flights we couldnt take because it would have gotten us in to late for shabbos.  Anyways, I am extremely upset and want to make sure they give me plenty of miles or st to make up for it.  Any suggestions the best way to go about it, a letter, calling and the best way to say the situation anything specific I should stress or not say?  Thanks.

Higher ups? Why dont u use the regular complaint method first. If that doesnt work, THEN you can contact your Senator.
