I recently drove on 9 south from toms river to Lakewood and there seem to be numerous newly built shopping plaza's south of the 70 that are barely inhabited.

the rotunda/takeout was a spectacular failure they are trying to salvage the situation now but its rough. place has 3rd of workers kind of like a ghost town

Friend was in there today and it was empty. Cashiers hanging around and shared that   they are usually not busy. Sad! I think they overestimated the market for high end grocery shopping.

where else would you get aged meat?

I think they opened in completely the wrong area. Toms River and Lakewood South can support.this. but that area cannot.

they chose that location and specifically opened there to be near all the wealthy Chasidim. the bottom line is that having a cute situation isn't enough, you need a competent grocery selection as well. The ostentatious way they presented themselves probably didn't help either.

What does this mean? I really liked how they were trying to differentiate themselves. As someone who likes unique and "different" food, it was quite appealing to me; I am disappointed that it doesnt seem to be working out.
