How to beat Alternate Side/street cleaning ticket in NY?

Weird situation. My [handwritten] ticket finally came up in the city's system but it's showing that I have to pay $55 dollars, whereas on the ticket itself it says that I only need to pay $45. Any way for me to get this straightened out? Is there a possibility for the entire thing to be dismissed on the basis of this mistake?

It's probably because they're charging you a $10 fee for late payment. Which you should fight, because it didn't show up in the system until now..

On the page showing my amounts due it's not showing that it's a late fee. Is there any other page that has it itemized?

Thanks for the advice. I already responded that my car was boxed in by other parallel parked cars from both sides so towing was not possible until later. We'll see how that goes along.

It's pretty pathetic how much time I invested disputing this silly ticket, makes me wonder if I should have just paid it and worked instead in the time I spent disputing it. But of course I didn't do that because I don't want to 'give in' to the stupid system even though disputing it is annoying as hell.

They denied my appeal. Didn't say any reason, just that they reviewed my appeal and decided the verdict will remain. I thought I had a pretty good case and that the ticket would for sure be dismissed, but that didn't turn out to be the case.
Lesson learnt: Just pay the $45 instead of wasting time, energy and paying the same $45 in the end anyway.

If you have the receipt, just email in a picture of it.

There is no email address. You have to go online to dispute the ticket and include a picture of it as an attachment to your dispute.

I went to that site to dispute the ticket, problem is the site crashed right after I entered the info .. and it didn't allow me to add attachments

Just got in the mail a bus lane camera ticket for $115 at Nostrand and Ave D.

The bus lane is in effect until 7pm and the ticket was issued at 6:58:43PM!

How can I get this ticket dismissed based on the time being so close to 7pm? I recall seeing elsewhere that within 5 minutes, tickets are not issued. Apparently that isn't the case with camera tickets, but it seems I should have a good case being within 2 minutes of 7pm.
Any ideas how how to word the dispute for the best chance of dismissal? (I have not had much success with disputing in the past...)

Giving excuses is always an option but usually swept under the rug, but with a heartfelt plea as it was less then 1 and 30 seconds left to 7.
 (with excuses you can always say my clock was a minute fast and I thought it was 7 already, or whether I was planning on turning but realized it was the next block and continued Going till the next block is when I put my blinker and turned. Or a simple please dismiss this ticket as it was Within a minute of 7pm. Good luck

Got a ticket on a side for Friday and they write E 22nd (for ex) and they write NA for the address except for 5 feet E of E 22nd and the other side is Thursday. Can I play saying it's the other side. And facing east and was an empty block so traffic cop must have mistaken my car and question them why no address was shown so must mean he error ed and realized so left the address blank? Tia
