Put $1 on it every couple months just so that the bank keeps it active
Or pay a library fine of 5c or a NY meter of a quarter... Or, if you really want to prove to the cc company that you have no interest in spending, but want to keep the card, buy something and return...

When an award chart says 60 k miles for a ticket, is that one way?
If you only have enough points for one way does it pay to get the reward ticket?  It seems in most cases a one way ticket costs the same or more than a round trip.
Are there airlines that fly from us to Europe that sell one way tickets for half of round trip cost?

Sometimes the price listed is one way, sometimes round trip.
Make like you're doing a booking (pick a going and coming home flight) and the final price will show up.  don't worry, they won't finalize until you put in passengers names and info and press 'buy' or something.

When you transfer points between Hyatt accounts how long does it normally take? Form was faxed in.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

When I did it a couple months ago, it only took a few days. That was by email.

Buddy signing up for AA card. He has an AA account but wants to keep this separate. If he makes a new AA account will that work, similar to Chase? (his first AA isn't linked to a Citi card so I don't think they would have his social on it).

Count, you've made me smile. Not sure if I should be crying, though.

I wonder how they do that. Was your social on the 1st account or did they find it by name and DOB etc?

You can buy any GC to meet a spend. Though how you cash them out may be different.

Someone just asked me what CC to apply for- they have no credit history at all and were denied for the Freedom even after calling in.

What's the secured card others recommended before? TIA

The Lan Pass secured card has a 10k sign-up bonus and no fee for the first year.
