Please help! I am supposed to go to Florida tomorrow (Monday) but I got sick. I booked 4 JetBlue tickets with my Spg Amex card. I paid for a Priceline car rental ( name your own price) also with that card. I booked a suite at the Westin Diplomat with points (24,000 per night). Spg told me I will get a $500 penalty if I cancel. Is there anything I could do with JetBlue and Priceline? How about the Spg penalty. I could get a Doctor's letter if that would help. Thank you very much.

Try calling the hotel directly. Call the airlines as well as Priceline.

I'm new to credit card stuff and I wanted to apply to a couple of credit cards at one time. I heard something about a triple browser trick that would enable me to apply to more than one card from the same bank without getting more than one hit on my credit score. For example if I was applying to three cards to Chase, then there is a way for me to do them all in one go. Any elucidation or clarification would be greatly appreciated.

I know on the united cards I have miles clawed back when I did a return. Never checked the UR, but if they do for UA miles already posted to my account, I'm sure they do for UR

IIRC there was a thread around here titled "Clawback" in which almost everybody reported that signup bonuses were not clawed back.
