EWR-SLC in Jan '15

Only flight avail is on Delta.
I have Avios and United.

What do I do to get award on that leg?
Maybe trade with someone with DL. Otherwise you are SOL.

This is what I have:
Chase  58000
LH miles & more me 55000
LH miles & more wife 55,900
BA AVIOS 56,000
US AIRWAYS 59,000
United Wife 68,000

I need to find a way to get 5 people on flights to and from NYC to SLC in January. The trip is for a week and its from Jan (m.shbs)17 or (sun)18. The return date is flexible regarding before or after shabbos.

It seems like Delta and Jetblue are the only ones with direct flights so that's why its here.

It's an AF problem. Their tool has really started sucking recently.
Need to PUTPAC.
Which AF website are you using?

So it seems a lot of discussion on this thread is about booking Flying Blue through Delta. Is there a way to do the reverse? I found an AF flight I would like but it's not showing up on delta.com for the award travel (but it does for a non-award search) and I have a whole bunch of Delta SkyMiles. Is there a way to book this using my SkyMiles? In fact, is there a way to find out how many SkyMiles it would cost?

Are you sure its available for miles? Just because it shows up for a paid ticket doesnt mean its available for miles.
Why not just PUTPAC (Delta) to find out if its available?

Promo awards are non refundable and non transferable. Dan clearly writes that in his posts. My question was about regular award flights.

Have you guys generally found it to be the case that if a classic award that shows up on FB site doesn't show up on delta.com, you can't book it with skymiles? The DL rep I spoke to last night said if it's not on delta.com, there's 0 chance it's bookable with skymiles. I know it's always worth calling DL anyway, but just as far as your experiences go.

For some reason, Delta doesn't have access to all FB space released to partners.

Terrible and annoying, for sure. Any way around it using skymiles, or that's just the way it is? Thanks for the response.
