He doesnt need to be the player he was. He is a 3rd option. To say the team is better without him, just shows you didnt watch any games. He played awesome this year, and again look at the numbers this year. They were way better then his 2016 year and he made 3rd team all NBA this year

I will have to give him a pass for his last 3 games this year. He came back after one week on an injury that takes 6 weeks and he played 46, 44, and 53 minutes in those games. All other games he played he was amazing. Stop living in the past

I wouldnt say new player. I would say new system... He realized he cant be a # 1 guy so hes a 2 now. Kyrie can probably still be a 2 but accepted that Harden is better ad took a step down to let Harden be the #2

still waiting for an “I was way off” for this conversation… He played 48 minutes in a 48 minute game against one of the best defenses in the playoffs without much help and dropped 49. Then played all 53 minutes in game 7. Show him some respect

Is he really better now than before the injury? Why didn't he take over game 7 overtime?

Now how can you respect a player that needs a super team or one bought to win a championship? At least LeBron went back to CLE to win a championship without a super team even if it was Kyrie who won it.

That is your take away from that game? He played all 48 minutes, was obviously gassed and went for the win in regulation. Unfortunately his toe was on the line. He had to play another 5 minutes now with no break and you are asking why he didn't take over? Not to mention he found the top 3 point shooter in the league wide open for 3 and he missed. Not to mention his coach stupidly not calling a timeout to draw up the last play with 12 seconds left.

I guess you either did not watch the game or don't know too much about basketball.
