I was there Monday and was unimpressed. The Chinese is very limited. The sesame chicken was decent but ran out quickly and it takes time to be refilled. They had fried and white rice. Chicken w garlic sauce but the chicken looked strange. Beef w garlic sauce and the beef was raw. The egg rolls were good but they ran out of that quickly too. The sushi was good for those who like fish but I don’t eat fish.
I agree that they could be a little faster in refilling the food once it runs out. It seems like they only start making the new batch when the food runs out, but they should always a batch ready to go. I didn't taste the beef w. garlic cause, but maybe it was raw because they were rushing it out. Still, for $18.95 including sushi and soup, it's the best deal on Central I think.
And as to the lower pricing, I checked it out last time I was there, and only the lunch specials for students went down in price (to $8!), I think that the regular lunch specials stayed the same. My bad.
PS: I was also there on Monday (looks like we could have had a DO!) and kept filling up my to-go plate whenever fresh chicken came out, so I may be a little bit responsible for all the delays...
