This is the second time I had this with Delta

An award flight is changed (due to flight delay) and the taxes are now less, no stopover now, but Delta calls it an 'even exchange' and doesn't want to refund the taxes.

Is this allowed, common?

Are you allowed to change the flight free?  Will you get the difference refunded then?  So change to something cheaper and get the refund thant rebook the correct flight.
Or cancel, get refund, rebook??

Can't cancel and rebook due to difference in miles, so they change it for me due to flight delay, but don't refund taxes. It's strange that they can keep taxes on flight not being flown.

I cancelled my ticket within 24hrs and received the refund from Spiri.
The third party site I booked through(My trip) is taking "assistance fees" to issue refund.  Do I have any claim to make with the DOT?

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your email.

This is to inform you that we have processed your refund in your reservation for your inbound flights after deducting our assistance fees. Please contact us for any further assistance .

We request you to contact your bank if you have not received the funds yet

I snatched a flight with this deal.
https://www.dansdeals.com/airfare-deals/israel-flights/smoking-hot-price-mistake-fly-nonstop-american-jfk-tel-aviv-just-338-round-trip/
Thanks @Dan

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I'll be able to use the ticket. Is there anyway I can pull off getting the first name changed in the ticket and one of my siblings can use it? Whats my best bet - contacting AA, priceline, (does Jetblue have any involvement in this)? If anyone has any insight or tips, if its even possible please let me know.

TIA

Is there a way to search for a round trip ticket that is made up of 2 separate round trip itineraries? ie EWR-FRA rt and then FRA-TLV rt? In a way that there is a minimal stopover? I have been searching manually for Succos dates and there are a bunch of potentially cheap flights ($800rt) but they all are off by a tiny bit that the connection isn't realistic

I’m sure it’s in their T&C that you agreed to when booking the flight. Take a look.

Spirit is already a PITA to deal with on their own, why would you choose to get another random OTA involved to make things even worse?

Booked an award ticket on AA
ORD-LGA | JFK - LHR. About 8 hour layover in NYC.

Anyway to check the luggage from ORD straight to LHR?
(AA do have a flight from ORD to JFK a few hours after my flight to LGA)

No
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

You might have to uncheck a box “account holder” is flying.
I don’t remember if it was on JetBlue, but some airlines have that.
I was able to book others.

How long before a flight will airlines allow me to check in?
If fly Virgin Atlantic / Delta / AA from JFK TO LHR in the evening, can I check my luggage in the morning?

I recently called UA to book a ticket for my 6 year old son.
He is flying together with me, but I was already booked so I had to call to book the child.
The rep said that because I am paying for the ticket I will be credited the miles for his flight.

Is that accurate? Is it because I am also flying? Sounds very strange.

BTW, in the past I would have just booked him online and added a couple decades to his age as @Dan has mentioned a number of times.
However I did that for my brother (who is 16) twice, and both times they made him fix it in the airport.
IIUC it was the TSA agent who made him go back to the airline desk. Both times he was flying out of HPN

The first part is probably a DROPR.

TSA has a new system in some airports where instead of matching your ID to your boarding pass, they all you to insert your ID into a scanner and it matches it with the list of passengers for that day. In those airports, if you look over 16, they need to match your name and DOB from your ID to the list of passengers.

Air France
BOS - TLV w stopover
In USA now. Wants to return Monday instead of Tuesday.
He called Air France on Friday and was told there’s room, but it has to be cleared by the business office and he should call back in 24 hours. He called after Shabbos and was told the business office never heard of his request so they’ll submit it now and he should call back Tuesday.  Very helpful.

What now?  Should he just arrive at the airport on Monday and try to go standby?
Any other ideas?

Long story but my son is flying Ethiopian from TLV to JFK via ADD.  Anyone here know if they provide KSML or not at any point during the journey?
