I propose we remove likes from the thread list. It makes it look like the likes are for the entire thread, instead of really just the first post. It looks a lot cleaner without it as well.

Compare the unread thread list to the board thread list - the former is clean and simple, while the latter is cluttered and somewhat misleading:

I like it for 2 reasons. For (first) posts that are deals one can see before clicking if it's a solid well liked deal. In addition, on other threads when liking the first post it allows you to easily distinguish it from the others from a list of threads. As mentioned.

Perhaps only remove it if one personally didn't like it. The best of both worlds.

Removed. I don't see how it can be done by board though.

You can just buy a cherry light (ie a strobe light)...

OK. So the most recent like I got was on a post from October 2020... That's entirely possible. As the next one on the list a post from last week.

Yup, so a post from 2008 will appear at the top of the list if it was liked most recently. And if it's the first post in a thread, that like will no longer appear on the board's list of threads...

If that's the way it's functioning, then it's great. One of the biggest annoyances with the like feature was when you see the count go up but it's not for a recent post, so you have no clue what happened.
